An old friend of mine.......

We go way back together.............

One of my favorite candy bars is:

And we sell them at Sweet Boutique, our candy store.

Where they are made............

While I was on vacation in PA earlier in the month, my sisters and I went to the Boyer factory for some Mallo Cups. They have an outlet store there and they sell their rejects and seconds real cheap. They make lots of other candy bars and they even give out FREE samples. If you are ever in Altoona, PA, stop at the Boyer Candy Co. So delicious!
I realized that I will be coming up on my 100th post pretty soon, so I am starting to plan a Giveaway to celebrate the occasion. I will be getting the goodies together and I will be showing them soon. Stop back often to join in on the fun!

Meet Rudbeckias!

There are so many variations of the colors. I don't remember where I got these, if I bought a plant or if I planted seeds. I do know that these are amazing flowers, they last a long time and their brilliance is breathtaking!

My Garden July 15.....

Aren't these beautiful?

These are wildflowers (actually to most gardeners they are weeds). They are New England Asters and most people pull them out, but I like the way they grow so tall. They are so light and airy and I wanted something to fill this area, so I let them grow. I think they are just beautiful. I don't tell anyone they are weeds. Can you keep a secret?

TWO Awards for little ol' me!!!!

Shortly before I was due to go on vacation--(I'm back, by the way)--I received this award from Mayra of Life is Bananas. I am so honored to receive this award, but I didn't have time to pass it on as I was supposed to do. So, now I am trying to catch up and I will pass this award on.

Now for the second award that I received from Arlene of My Casabella.

As expected, it comes with rules:
1. put the logo on your blog or post.

3. link your nominees within your post.
4. let them know they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. share the love and link your post to the person who gave you the award.

I am amazed at how many bloggers there are out there in the internet world. There are so many to look at and to choose from. But there are a few that I really enjoy reading, and looking at their pictures. The way they write their stories. How they take their pictures and post them. There are many creative bloggers out there and they're so much fun to read. So I chose 10 bloggers that I thoroughly enjoy and I want to give them this award.

So my nominees are:

1. Candy of Rockcandy
2. Yvette of The Charm House
3. Kim of Camp Whimsy
4. Suze of Junque Drawer Chick

I am honored to receive the two awards and I will proudly display the badges on my blog.

Birthday Book for Mom........

My Mom's birthday is coming up on the 29th of this month. She will be celebrating her 87th birthday. She is the best mother in the world. She raised 11 of us kids and always showed each of us love and understanding. I made her a birthday book and I wanted to share it with you. I saw one of these books here in blogland some time ago. I made one for my daughter's 45th and she really liked it. I'm not sure who made the book that I saw, so if you did, please come forward so that I may give credit to the originator!

So here are the pictures of the book~~~~~

OOps!..............I made a giant mistake!!! This should say Happy 87th Birthday, Mum! I hope I can peel that off and correct it!

I will be on vacation from July 3 through July 8, so I probably won't be posting until I get back. We are attending our annual family reunion at my Mom's in PA. It will be great to see my aunts & uncles, cousins, brothers & sisters, brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws, nieces & nephews and so on....There is always lots to do during the reunion; games, good food and great company! It's always so much fun!

This book was so much fun to make and I hope that she likes it! I will give it to her while we are there for vacation.
P.S. I made a new banner and pasted it over the old one. It says "Happy 87th Birthday, Mum!"
