My Birthday Presents...

Yesterday was my Birthday...
It was a fun day...
I got lots of good wishes and presents...
This was one of the presents from my BFF...
I showed the other one of the wall hanging
that she made for me earlier...
I thought this was so pretty and so clever...

The chocolate bar is so good...
And the wrapper is so beautiful!
She also sent a beautiful card that she made.

YUM!  YUM!  YUM!!!
Thank you,  my sweet friend!

Then,  my daughter shows up at my door,
with flowers,  a birthday cake and a card in hand!
She stopped in after work.
My DBF and I were on our way out
to our favorite restaurant
 for a birthday celebration dinner,
so we talked her into coming with us!
We had a great time,
and it was even better to share it with her.
Here's what she brought with her!

(It's half gone!)

Blessed!   I am truly blessed!
  To have such wonderful, caring,
and generous people in my life...

It's a day I'll cherish forever!

'Til next time,
Love ya,  Jean

My BFF...

I had a huge surprise that came in the mail yesterday...

It was from my BFF,
Lady Jane over at Our Cozy Abode...

She made it and sent it for my Birthday...

Here is the surprise wall hanging that LJ made for me...

Close up...

The one I gave to her first...

Then she made one for me...
I love her for being so thoughtful!

I was going to make one for myself,
but this means so much more to me.

I love you girl,  and we'll always be BFF's 'til the end!

She also made a beautiful card and sent me a yummy candy bar wrapped in the most gorgeous wrapper with a huge flower on it!  I will show that next time.

So,  take a stroll over and see what she is up to today!

'Til next time,
Love ya,  Jean

Red...

I love my little section of red here......

Speaking of red...

We have been making pizzas!  I have been on a low carb diet lately due to high blood sugar.  I found these low carb tortillas that have a lot of fiber in them.  The net carbs are 6 for one tortilla.  That's very low.  So,  in order to enjoy pizza,  we are using the Low Carb Tortillas for the crust.  Turns out they are delicious!  We don't miss the traditional crust at all.  This picture is the before they are baked.  I took one after they were baked,  but the battery was dead on my camera and the picture didn't come out!  Trust me,  they look really good once baked.
Now,  here's how to do it...
Take a tortilla,  put some tomato sauce on it,  put some meat and veggies,  whatever you like,  top with some cheese.  Bake at 400 degrees for  about 10 min,  and you will have a delicious treat!  Serve this with a nice big salad and you will have a
nice little low carb meal.
Enjoy!

I've been sewing a lot.  We are getting another snow storm today,  as many of you are,  so I will be finishing up on some projects I have been working on.  Stay turned... I'll be showing them soon.

'Til next time.
Love ya,  Jean

Still going strong...

Amazing...
She's still going...

Lots of flowers...

Inside...

Lots of beautiful roots...

I just love her!

'Til next time,
