Mini Project...

My latest miniature project....
This is a NAME (National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts) kit called "A Cart for All Reasons".  All members get together and make the same project.  This was the 4th Annual NAME Day.  It is a fun way to share ideas and connect with others that have the same interests.

Christmas ornaments  for sale...

This was a lot of fun to make... the hardest part was deciding what theme to use.
The red just naturally screamed Christmas to me and so that was it!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I've been up to.

Baby Quilts...

I made some baby quilts recently.
These are donated to the Brigham & Women's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Boston.  The program is sponsored by the Wayside Sewing Center who provides the materials and makes up kits that are sewn by many women in the community.  Last year we donated over 2000 quilts to this wonderful cause.  The quilts are about 24" square and are given to each infant who spends time in the NICU.  A worthy cause indeed!

I love making these little quilts.  They are so colorful and bring a smile to my face when I am working on them.

Thanks for taking a look.  'Til next time,  Love ya,  Jean

using a walker already!

My great grandson...

I love him with all my heart!

Roasted Zucchini Casserole...

I'm always looking for new recipes.
This recipe was passed around on Facebook,
looked good,  so I decided to try it.
It was delicious!
So I thought I would share it with you.
This is how mine looked...

A closeup...

The recipe is as follows...

Roasted Zucchini Casserole

3 zucchinis,  sliced
2 onions,  sliced
3 T. olive oil
salt & ground pepper,  to taste

1  16 oz package penne pasta (I used rotini)
1 28 oz jar of marinara sauce
1/2 C grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Toss zucchinis and onions in large bowl
with olive oil til evenly coated.
Spread into large baking dish.
Roast in oven about 30 min til golden.
Season with Salt & Pepper.

Reduce oven temp to 350 degrees F.

Cook pasta in large pot according to pkg  directions.  Drain.
Lightly grease 9 x 13 baking dish.
Heat marinara sauce in saucepan til hot.
Spread into prepared dish,  followed by penne
and then zucchini-onion mixture.
Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
Bake in preheated oven til sauce is bubbly 35-40 min.
Allow casserole to rest 5 min before serving.

Enjoy!  I hope you like this as much as we did!

Mini Chaise Lounge Chair...

I am pretty excited and
amazed about my latest creation...

Thanks to an excellent tutorial by Kris at
Her instructions are clear and very concise.
She has many other tutorials
and puts a new one out every month.
Please go by and give her a visit.
(Just click on the link above)

The whole thing is made of cardstock,
matboard, and foamcore.
I think it came out pretty good for my first try.
I love it!
Now I have to find a place to put it!

Thanks,  Kris! I couldn't have
made it without you!

The garden on July 12, 2013...

Take a little tour with me,
and see what's blooming now...

(Click to make the pics bigger)

My garden never ceases to amaze me... There's so much beauty in those flowers.   That's why I love it so...  And that's why I break my back working in it!   hahaha    I am out there most days, sometimes in the rain, and sometimes when it's way too hot.

There's always something to do.
