More unexpected stuff...

See...  my blog is different again?  It seems when I put in the new background,  it had a gadget that was installed at the same time.  I couldn't get into my blog!  It took me a few days to figure it out!  When I tried to put my address in,  it would open the blog for a second and then flip to something called widget something... I finally found it this morning and was able to remove it and now it is gone.  I had to go in by blogger dot com to be able to get on the workings of the blog.  I am so glad to be "back to normal",  except now I have no pretty background.  Oh well,  it's OK. I'm kind of shy about putting in another one right now.

So now I have a few pictures of my little Poppy and her new clothes that I made for her.  I ordered some shoes for her and I'm waiting for them to come.  Fingers crossed that they fit her.

I didn't have a pattern to follow so I had to make a prototype of my own.  I see some things that I need to change.  I like the skirt,  the top is too high and the straps too wide.  It fits pretty good otherwise.  I think she likes it!  haha

I love my little Poppy... she looks exactly like my granddaughter when she was little.  Maybe that has something to do with it!

The unexpected...

I bring my plants outdoors for the summer.

I give them plenty of sun,  water,  and fertilizer.

They are supposed to grow a flower inside the bulb.

This flower is supposed to appear 

next winter or spring...

So I was surprised to see it growing 

among the leaves!!!

(no one told it,  I guess!)

Love it!!!

Finally put a new background on the blog,  

if you noticed...  haha

It's a jungle out there...

WOW!  The heat has caused everything to grow 

by leaps and bounds...

Under all the greenery is the filter barrel 

for my little pond...

It was my hope to have the plants cover the barrel,  as it is rather ugly with a big plastic pipe running down the front of it.  My mission has been accomplished!  I love how it looks now...  I just have to trim some of the grasses that are nearer to the bridge.  It looks a little "overgrown"  to say the least!  Hopefully,   the weather will cool off a little so that I can work out there for more than half an hour at a time.  I've gotten way behind with my gardening this summer.  Way too many weeds have grown up.  

Before we know it,  we'll be saying,  "it's so cold out there".  One thing for sure is that the seasons will change and we should all learn to enjoy them as they come...

I am trying to do that!  Are you?

Dishcloths...

I wanted to show you the dishcloths that my BFF over at Our Cozy Abode was talking about that I made recently.  

My nephew and his bride-to-be are getting married October 13,  so I made these dishcloths for them.  These will go along with a monetary gift,   of course.  Just a little something extra from my heart for them.  

The white one has two wedding rings with three hearts on it.  To me it kind of looks like a Mickey head.  Of course,  you know that I am into Disney and visit there fairly often,  so it makes perfect sense to me... haha

The orange one is of a cat,  she loves cats!

The black is a raven for him...

Since their wedding is so close to Halloween,

 and they love that sort of thing, 

 I figured this would be a great gift that they would both enjoy!

The dishcloths are fun to make 

and the designs are endless!  

I love making them!

So much fun!
