It's been a very busy month for me...
Thanksgiving was very nice...
Twenty of my loved ones gathered at my daughter
and son-in-law's house.
It was a lot of fun and the food was delicious!
We all made side dishes to bring along.
They did a wonderful job at hosting!
It was a day full of love and thankfulness!
I had a trip to Disney to meet up with my 5 sisters,
two nephews and my niece who works there.
Disney is always so much fun.
Here is just one of the many,
many Christmas trees that they display.
It was also the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot,
so that makes it even better.
Not sure if this video works,
I thought it was a photo of the fireworks.
It may work after I post it. We'll see.
No, it doesn't work! Oh well!
Sorry!
No, it doesn't work! Oh well!
Sorry!
At the end of my Disney stay, my cousin who lives in Florida, met us there. She brought me to her home for 3 days, and back to the airport after. She taught me how to use her serger sewing machine. Here is one of her pillowcases that she made on it. She so generously gave me a pair to take home. I just love them and I have them on my bed now. I guess she has made 100's of these to fit every occasion and holiday. And she gives them as gifts to her family and friends. I am so lucky to be blessed with her kind and generous nature. She also gave me tons of fabric to bring home with me. I had the best time, thank you so much, Susan!
This is how a serger machine sews the seams together.
I love them, Susan! Sew cute!
My church has sponsored a
Dresses for Africa program...
These are the ones I sewed...
These are some of the other ladies involved.
This was our last meeting,
'til next August or September.
The group made over 100 dresses total.
They are sorted here into piles of Small,
Medium and Large sizes.
Now, they just have to be boxed up
and shipped to the happy, little recipients.
Good job, Ladies, I am proud to be a part
of this loving, caring, and giving group.
And I also made some new friends
with a common interest!
And lastly, we got new carpeting!
That was a big job to get ready for!
We love it and even Dusty dog
seems to like laying on it.
It's very soft and thick.
Nice!
So, moving forward...
The Christmas tree is going up as we speak...
I put the lights outside last week.
And we've been cleaning up leaves for pickup
during the whole month.
I'm glad that that chore is almost finished.
No wonder the time flies by so quickly!
Just sayin'... haha
'Til next time, Love ya, Jean
