Spring flowers...

Well,  Spring is finally here.  

But, it has been on the chilly side.

Today is 50 degrees and rainy,  

making it feel very cold and damp.

I do have some flowers blooming though.  

They are a welcome sight, 

after a long and dreary winter.

Here are a few...

My pond filter liner sprung a leak,
so now it is a planter.
I didn't want to let it go to the recycle bin.
I planted daffodils, pansies, parsley,
cilantro and dill in it.

Hyacinths that have reseeded...

Hellebores,  also known as Lenten Rose...

These are Grape Hyacinths...I love these.  They make beautiful mounds of purple,
and they multiply quickly.

So, I have a wonderful week ahead of me, as I travel to Disney World.  I understand that it is very hot there,  like 95 degrees yesterday.  I hope it's not too much of a shock on this old body of mine!  But to me, I think it'll feel pretty good!
I hope so.

And leaves on the trees...

My Orchid and others...

My "Just Add Ice"  Orchid is blooming for the second time... since I received  it.
My daughter gave this to me for Mother's Day last year.  This Orchid is easy to care for -- just give it 3 ice cubes once a week!  Place it in a bright location with 65-85 degrees F., away from drafts.  I guess I did it right.  haha

And it has lots of new buds on it,  too!

The light was not so good here...
but you get the idea...

Another magnificent bloom...

These are called "Paperwhites"
and smell so wonderful...

This is an Amaryllis that has no flower, so far...
I am patiently waiting and crossing my fingers...

As you can see,  I am anxiously awaiting Spring
and appeasing myself by growing some flowers indoors.
We all need to fulfill our needs somehow!
There is hope...
these last few days have warmed up some
and the snow is slowly melting and going down.
I want to see my grass again!  I know it's under there somewhere!
With time flying by so fast,
we will be having a heat wave before we know it,
and then we'll say it's too hot!
