Closer view of book and candy on window sill...
I started making this at a workshop in the Spring
and just finished it up...
Well, almost, because I am going to make a grandfather clock for the left side of the room. I'll show that when it's finished.
I belong to a dollhouse and miniature club, "Small Impressions", we are working on a door wall that we can decorate for all the different holidays. Mine is finished and I will be showing that on my next post. It came out so cute, can't wait for our next meeting to show it off. And can't wait to show you!
I guess you could say I'm "hooked on minis".
Should I start a new blog with that name? haha
Hey, maybe I will...
'Til next time, Love ya, Jean |

OMG this is awesome! I was just in Hobby Lobby and saw so many of these book boxes that were just gorgeous. Especially the christmas ones. I have just never been able to imagine them in a mini way that I would be pleased with. I don't like having to either leave the book open or have to open it to see the scene. This idea of putting a window in is absolutely wonderful! I just happen to have a big bay window. Now i've got to buy me one of those gorgeous boxes. Thank you so much for putting this up so we all could be inspired. I'm so excited! I can't wait to do this! I'm thinking a scene inside with a fireplace, tree, santa, gifts, kids.......something along that line. Oh my!
What a great idea, you have made it so beautiful!
