..........................The Beauty of New England..........

When we took Dusty for a walk yesterday, I took my camera with me. Here are some trees in my neighborhood that are in full color now. This is a maple tree...
A Japanese Maple...

A clump of White Birches...

A Maple...

And another Maple... Sometimes, when I walk outside and see the magnificent colors, it just takes my breath away! I am so fortunate to live here, surrounded by nature's beauty.

.................................Lots of Stuff.........

I have lots to talk about today....

My new blog design. If I had known how easy it was, I would have done it a lot sooner. This gal outlined the 3 easy steps and it was just that--so easy! And now I feel like I am up to date and sassy with my new look.

Here is a little handbag that I made for my dollhouse yesterday. This is made with a small binder clip. I want to make lots more, but that means more projects, and I have too many going on right now. Ohhh,,,maybe I'll make some for my Etsy shop.... They are just so cute! And now the quilts that I have completed this week....6 of them....

I have done a total of 46 so far..... They love me at the sewing store....haha
~~I also want to welcome Lorraine of Lorraine Miniatures. Lorraine is from the UK and has a wonderful blog all about miniatures. She makes some beautiful dolls. Welcome Lorraine, I hope you enjoy my blog.~~
She is my 90th follower. When I hit 100 followers, I will be having a giveaway to celebrate. I am collecting some really beautiful items for that grand event. And I'll be posting that soon.

~~Apple Oatmeal Crisp Recipe~~

OK, so Barbara, from Barbara's Bakin N Bits, asked for the recipe for the Apple Crisp. I had gotten this one from the internet. It was delicious and pretty quick to make--not a lot of ingredients..... Apple Oatmeal Crisp
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats (Old Fashioned)
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup melted butter
3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour, and butter. Mix until crumbly, Place half of crumb mixture in pan. Spread the apples evenly over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and top with remaining crumb mixture.
3. Bake in the preheated over for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
I topped mine with some delicious French Vanilla Ice Cream--Oh, so good!
So, there you go--a wonderful, quick and easy recipe that will make your family want more!
